scriptbin is freely available for everyone, at no charge. Features are added and made available to everyone. There are no ads, no tracking and no focus on capturing attention or goading addiction the way many social media platforms do. scriptbin is built to make it easy for writers of scripts to host them, for readers of scripts to read them easily, and for everyone's time and privacy to be respected.
If you use scriptbin, if you think it works well and makes your life easier, and if it is an option for you, I would appreciate a donation. Donations are voluntary and do not render any additional features, rights, services or benefits. (But you may experience warm, fuzzy feelings of knowing you supported something that you enjoy.)
The vast majority of people using scriptbin do not donate and that is absolutely fine; also, of course many people who donate do so once or now and then and not on an ongoing recurring basis: again, definitely more than appreciated and completely fine. scriptbin is not a money-making venture and will always be about providing a service to the community. You are still welcome to use the site fully, you will still have access to all scriptbin features and I will still gladly answer questions and listen to feedback.

Scripts are not "scriptbin scripts" and writers are not "scriptbin writers" — there are sites that work like that for audios, but scriptbin is not that kind of platform. This page is about donating to cover the cost of the ongoing maintenance and hosting of this site and otherwise support its development, not to pay out money to the writers and scripts hosted on it.
To support your favorite writer with a donation, to commission work or to find out what you are allowed to do or not do with their scripts, please see the instructions in the writer's scripts or separate page that they may link from their writer's profile or in other places.

Monthly cost
The support will primarily be used to cover the monthly cost of scriptbin's hosting and related expenses. In the spirit of transparency, these will be listed month by month, along with the amount received after Patreon/processing cuts.

The expenses involve multiple currencies so the $ equivalent changes with exchange rate and is not known. It is determined at the end of each month, when the support received is also updated.
The "% of expenses" column highlights how much the support received after fees either exceeds or falls short of the expenses.
The 👥 column shows how many supporters are active at the end of each month. Since supporters can come and go during the month, this is not always equal to the number of individual contributions made during the month.
